A Unique Guide To Valentine’s Day Gifts

Valentine's Day can come with a lot of pressure to buy the perfect gift, but here are some unique, personal, and affordable alternatives.

Valentine’s Day is a special time of year to show your loved ones how much you love them, but with that can come a lot of pressure to do the right thing and buy the right gift. You may feel pressured to spend a lot of money or agonize over what exactly is the perfect gift, but I’m here to tell you there are so many great ideas out there for both him and her that don’t need to break the bank and will show your love in the simplest of ways.

I’m personally not a huge go-all-out on Valentine’s Day person, and neither is Michael, so over the years I’ve come up with and come across some great alternatives to still celebrate this special day without the need to really make a big deal out of it (I’ll reserve that for Christmas and my birthday).

Passport To Love

I’ll be the first to admit this is totally cheesy, but for the travel-lovers out there this a cute way to celebrate one another and have a bit of fun with your interest in new places and cultures. Plus, this is a great way to continue the love all year long, rather than just one designated day (because that’s not what love is about!).

Bake Something Valentine’s Day-Themed

There are so many options out there to bake something that has a just a simple nod to Valentine’s Day, and the best part about this is that you can both enjoy them together while just hanging out and being together.

A Mug

Mugs are such a great gift because they can be totally personalized to the persons interests, and there are more than a couple of hundred options out there if you want something a little cheesy or cutsie. I also really love this blackboard mug where you could write a little love note to your significant other for the morning of Valentine’s Day. Not a bad way to wake up if you ask me.

Write a Love Letter

What’s more simple than putting pen to paper and simply sharing all of the reasons why you love them and reminiscing on great times together? A great gift for him or her, this is a very personal and intimate way to show your love without needing to go all out. Letters are so underrated nowadays and that makes them all the more special. And if you need a little help getting started, you can purchase this letter book set.

Personalized Collar Stays

I love gifts that are cute but also totally practical because it makes it feel far more worth the money, which is why I love these personalized collar stays. It’s a nice way to remind him that you love him every day, plus it doesn’t need to embarrass him because it’s hidden away for only him to know. I also love how these are stainless steel collar stays- so you’re getting great quality as well.
